Lesson#1
This course teaches the Arabic alphabet, not the Arabic language. When you finish, you should be able to look at an Arabic word and sound it out. You will not learn what those words mean.
Lesson#2
Arabic is written from right to left. Most letters join up, like handwriting. A letter can change shape depending on whether it sits at the start, middle, or end of a word.
Lesson#3
Six letters never join to the letter after them: ا د ذ ر ز و After one of these, the next letter starts a new visual group.
Lesson#4
You will see a letter, think of its name or sound, then tap Reveal answer. Names are written in simple English letters, like baa and sheen. Sounds use a small set of extra marks: th, kh, dh, sh, gh, q, and capital S D T Z for the heavier emphatic letters.
Quiz#5
Which direction is Arabic written?

right to left

Quiz#6
Does this course teach Arabic vocabulary?
