Lesson#1
In Swedish, you do not put a separate word like 'the' in front of a noun to make it definite. Instead, you attach an ending directly to the noun itself. In this deck, you'll learn how to form singular definite nouns and use them naturally in everyday conversation.
Lesson#2
For common gender nouns, or en-words, that end in a consonant, attach E N to the end of the word. For example, 'en bil', meaning a car, becomes 'bilen', meaning the car.
Quiz#3
How do you say 'the car' in Swedish?

bilen

Lesson#4
The same rule applies to other consonant-ending en-words. 'En stol' means a chair, which becomes 'stolen'. 'En hund' means a dog, which becomes 'hunden'.
Quiz#5
How do you say 'the chair' in Swedish?

stolen

Quiz#6
How do you say 'the dog' in Swedish?
