You've learned how to form the present perfect tense. Now, let's focus on when to use it. In Spain, it's commonly used for two main purposes: to talk about actions that happened in a time period that isn't over yet, and to discuss life experiences.
Lesson#2
To talk about an unfinished time period, you'll use time markers like 'hoy' for today, 'esta semana' for this week, 'este mes' for this month, and 'este año' for this year. Because these periods are still ongoing, you use the present perfect. For example, 'Hoy he trabajado mucho' means 'Today I have worked a lot'.
