German Comparison and Preference

Learn to make simple comparisons in German. This deck covers how to say things are bigger, better, or the best, using comparative and superlative forms.
A sleek, modern German sports car is parked on an old cobblestone street in front of a majestic, ancient German castle. Dramatic lighting emphasizes the striking contrast between the car's contemporary design and the castle's historic grandeur, inviting a visual comparison of "bigger," "better," or "best" in different contexts.

Lesson#1
In this deck, we'll learn how to compare things in German. You'll learn how to say that something is bigger, better, or more expensive than something else, and also how to say it's the best or the biggest.
Lesson#2
To say something is 'more' than something else, you usually add an 'E R' to the end of the adjective. For example, 'klein' becomes 'kleiner', meaning 'smaller'. To say 'than', you use the word 'als'. So, 'smaller than' is 'kleiner als'.
