Lesson#1
To make general statements in Italian, like saying 'people do something' or 'one does something', you can use the impersonal 'si'. You simply use 'si' followed by the verb in the third-person singular. For example, 'In Italia si mangia bene' means 'In Italy, people eat well'.
Quiz#2
How do you say 'In Italy, people drink a lot of coffee' in Italian?

In Italia si beve molto caffè.

Quiz#3
Translate into Italian: 'In summer, people go to the sea.'

In estate si va al mare.

Quiz#4
How do you say 'One speaks Italian here' in Italian?

Qui si parla italiano.

Lesson#5
To talk about an action that is happening right now, you can use the verb 'stare' followed by the gerund. This is like saying 'I am doing' in English. For example, 'Sto lavorando' means 'I am working'.
Lesson#6
To form the gerund, you change the verb ending. For verbs ending in '-are', it becomes '-ando', like 'parlare' becomes 'parlando'. For verbs ending in '-ere', it becomes '-endo', like 'leggere' becomes 'leggendo'. For verbs ending in '-ire', it also becomes '-endo', like 'dormire' becomes 'dormendo'.
