Lesson#1
Welcome to this deck on Jewish beliefs and teachings for your GCSE Religious Studies exam. We'll explore the core ideas that shape Judaism, starting with the nature of God, moving through the sacred agreements known as covenants, and finishing with the key moral principles that guide Jewish life. Mastering these concepts is essential for building strong exam answers.
Lesson#2
The most fundamental belief in Judaism is monotheism, the belief in one God. This is declared in the most important Jewish prayer, the Shema, which begins 'Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one'. For Jews, God is a single, whole, indivisible being. This is a key contrast to other ancient religions which had many gods, and to Christian beliefs in the Trinity.
Quiz#3

monotheism

Quiz#4

Lesson#5
Jews believe that God is the Creator of the universe. The book of Genesis describes God creating everything that exists out of nothing. This is a point you can use in exam answers about the environment.
