You already know how to say 'not' in French using 'ne...pas'. In this deck, we'll expand your toolkit with other common negative phrases. You'll learn how to say things like 'never', 'no longer', 'nothing', and 'no one'.
Lesson#2
To say 'never' in French, you use 'ne...jamais'. Just like with 'ne...pas', the 'ne' comes before the verb, and 'jamais' comes after it. For example, 'Je ne fume jamais' means 'I never smoke'.

Translate into French: I never smoke.

Lesson#5
To express 'no longer' or 'not anymore', the phrase is 'ne...plus'. The structure is the same: 'ne' before the verb, 'plus' after. For example, 'Elle n'habite plus ici' means 'She doesn't live here anymore'.
