Lesson#1
In Dutch, when you want to describe an indefinite quantity or thing like something new or something fun, the adjective takes an audible S sound at the end. This is a special spoken construction called the partitive genitive. In this deck, you will learn how to use this pattern with everyday words like something, nothing, and a lot.
Lesson#2
When an adjective directly follows 'iets', meaning something, you add an S to the end of the adjective. For example, 'nieuw' becomes 'nieuws', so 'something new' is 'iets nieuws'. In the same way, 'leuk' becomes 'leuks', giving 'iets leuks' for something fun.
