In Swedish, verbs and adjectives often pair with specific prepositions to express thoughts, feelings, and topics. These abstract combinations do not always match English prepositions word for word. In this deck, you will learn the most essential prepositional verbs and adjective patterns for daily conversation.

To talk about a topic, Swedish uses the preposition 'om'. Both 'prata om' and 'tala om' mean to speak or talk about something. For example, 'Vi pratar om vädret' means 'We are talking about the weather'.
