Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to express degrees and extremes in Russian using analytic comparatives and superlatives. You already know basic adjectives and simple comparisons. Now you will discover how to say more, less, and the most to evaluate options and make travel choices.
Lesson#2
To say 'more' before an adjective in Russian, use the adverb 'более'. Unlike comparisons where the adjective ending itself changes, 'более' never changes its form. The adjective that follows simply agrees with the noun in gender, number, and case, such as 'более удобный номер' for 'a more comfortable room'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Russian: 'We are looking for a cheaper option.'

Мы ищем более дешёвый вариант

Quiz#4
Translate into Russian: 'We want to rent a more spacious flat.'

Мы хотим снять более просторную квартиру

Quiz#5
Speaking formally, translate into Russian: 'This is a more important question than you think.'

Это более важный вопрос, чем вы думаете

Lesson#6
To say 'less' before an adjective, use the invariant adverb 'менее'. Just like 'более', 'менее' never changes its ending, while the adjective that follows agrees with the noun. For example, 'менее дорогой отель' means 'a less expensive hotel'.
