Lesson#1
This deck will help you prepare for the General Conversation, which is the final part of your AQA GCSE French speaking exam. It's a chance to have a more natural conversation with the examiner. We'll cover the structure of the conversation and the key skills you need to get the best possible marks.
Lesson#2
The General Conversation lasts between three and five minutes for the Foundation Tier, and five to seven minutes for the Higher Tier. It covers two different themes from the specification. You get to choose the first theme you want to talk about, and the examiner will choose the second one.
Quiz#3
How many themes are discussed in the General Conversation part of the French speaking exam?

Two

Quiz#4
In the French speaking exam, who chooses the first theme for the general conversation?

The student

Quiz#5
In the French speaking exam, who chooses the second theme for the general conversation?

The examiner

Lesson#6
One of the most important skills in the conversation is to develop your answers. Avoid giving short, one-word replies. For example, if the examiner asks 'Tu aimes le sport?', which means 'Do you like sport?', a simple 'oui' isn't enough. Try to add a reason and an example. A better answer would be 'Oui, j'adore le sport, surtout le football, parce que c'est amusant.' That means 'Yes, I love sport, especially football, because it's fun.'
