Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to make nouns plural in spoken Dutch using the endings E N and S. You will also see how every plural noun takes the definite article 'de'.
Lesson#2
The most common way to make a spoken noun plural is to add the ending E N. In everyday Dutch speech, the final N is usually silent, so you simply pronounce a soft 'uh' sound. Every plural noun takes the definite article 'de'. For example, 'het boek' becomes 'de boeken', meaning 'the books', and 'de stoel' becomes 'de stoelen', meaning 'the chairs'. To say 'I see the books', you say 'Ik zie de boeken'.
