Let's practice using the negation rules with the verbs and sentences you already know. We'll focus on saying what isn't true, what someone doesn't have, and what someone doesn't like.
Lesson#2
To say someone 'is not' something, you wrap 'ne...pas' around the verb 'être'. For example, 'Il est grand', becomes 'Il n'est pas grand'.
Quiz#3
Translate into French: My sister is not French.

Ma sœur n'est pas française

Translate into French: They are not serious, referring to a masculine group.

Lesson#5
To say you 'do not have' something, you use 'ne...pas' around 'avoir' and change 'un' or 'une' to 'de'. For example, 'J'ai un frère' becomes 'Je n'ai pas de frère'.
