Lesson#1
In French, to report what someone else says, you often use the verb 'dire', meaning 'to say', followed by 'que', which means 'that'. This is called 'le discours indirect' or reported speech.
Lesson#2
When you report something in the present tense, the structure is simple. If someone says, "Je suis fatigué", meaning 'I am tired', you report it as 'Il dit qu'il est fatigué', which means 'He says that he is tired'. Notice how 'je' changes to 'il' and 'suis' changes to 'est'.
