Let's start with Christian views on good and evil. Christianity teaches that humans were created good, in the image of God. However, the story of Adam and Eve in the book of Genesis explains how evil entered the world through an act of disobedience. This idea is known as Original Sin.

For Christians, it's not just evil actions that matter, but also evil intentions. Jesus made this very clear in the Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew's gospel. He taught that being angry with someone is, in your heart, the same as committing murder. This shows that for Christians, thoughts and intentions are also judged by God.
