Lesson#1
Russian motion verbs change their meaning when you add directional prefixes. Stems for walking like идти and stems for transport like ехать take prefixes that specify whether you are setting off, arriving, leaving, entering, or crossing. In this deck, you will learn the core directional prefixes and how to conjugate them.
Lesson#2
The prefix по- indicates setting off or the beginning of movement. On foot, the perfective past forms are irregular: a man says 'я пошёл', a woman says 'я пошла', and plural is 'мы пошли'. For example, 'Я пошёл на работу' means 'I set off for work'.
Quiz#3
Spoken by a man, translate into Russian: 'I set off for work.'

Я пошёл на работу

Quiz#4
Translate into Russian: 'We set off for the park.'

Мы пошли в парк

Lesson#5
When setting off by vehicle, the past forms are 'поехал' for a man and 'поехала' for a woman. For the future, use 'поеду' for I and 'поедем' for we. For example, 'Завтра утром мы поедем на дачу' means 'Tomorrow morning we will go to the dacha'.
Quiz#6
Referring to travel by vehicle, translate into Russian: 'Tomorrow morning we will go to the dacha.'

Завтра утром мы поедем на дачу
