One stall is overflowing with an abundant, colorful array of perfectly ripe tropical fruits like mangoes, passion fruit, and acai berries, glistening under warm sunlight. The adjacent stall features a noticeably smaller and simpler selection of goods, creating a clear visual comparison of quantity and appeal.

Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to make comparisons in Portuguese. You will compare people, places, and things by saying what is more or less, as well as using special words for better, worse, bigger, and smaller.
Lesson#2
To say that someone or something is more than another, use 'mais', followed by the adjective, and then 'do que'. For example, 'mais espaçoso do que' means 'more spacious than'. You can say 'Este apartamento é mais espaçoso do que aquele' to mean 'This apartment is more spacious than that one'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Portuguese: 'This apartment is more spacious than that one.'

Este apartamento é mais espaçoso do que aquele

Quiz#4
Translate into Portuguese: 'My brother is taller than me.'

Meu irmão é mais alto do que eu

Quiz#5
Translate into Portuguese: 'This shirt is more expensive than that T-shirt.'

Esta camisa é mais cara do que aquela camiseta

Lesson#6
In everyday Brazilian Portuguese, 'que' on its own is often used instead of 'do que'. Both mean 'than' and are completely interchangeable. For example, 'mais quente que' means 'hotter than'. You can say 'O café está mais quente do que o leite' for 'The coffee is hotter than the milk'.
