Lesson#1
In Swedish, instead of just using the verb to be to say where something is, you describe its physical posture. You state whether an object is standing, lying, sitting, or hanging. Learning these four verbs will make your descriptions of rooms and objects sound natural and accurate.
Lesson#2
Use the verb 'står' when an object stands upright on a base or legs, such as a bottle, a chair, or a table. For example, 'en flaska står på bordet' means 'a bottle is standing on the table', and 'stolen står i köket' means 'the chair is standing in the kitchen'.
