Lesson#1
In Spanish, you can describe the phase of an action – like when it starts, if it's ongoing, or if it has just finished – by combining two verbs. These are called aspectual patterns, and they are very common in everyday speech.
Lesson#2
To say you are starting to do something, use the verb 'empezar', followed by 'a', and then the action verb in its infinitive form. For example, 'Empiezo a entender' means 'I'm starting to understand'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Spanish: 'He starts to work at nine.'

Empieza a trabajar a las nueve.

Quiz#4
Translate into Spanish: 'We started to study Spanish last year.'

Empezamos a estudiar español el año pasado.

Lesson#5
To say you are still doing something or that you continue to do it, use 'seguir' or 'continuar' followed by the gerund, which is the '-ando' or '-iendo' form. For example, 'Sigo trabajando' means 'I'm still working'.
Quiz#6
Using 'seguir', translate into Spanish: 'She is still living in Madrid.'

Sigue viviendo en Madrid.
