In this deck, we'll look at one of the most important features of spoken German: word order. Getting the verb in the right place is key to being understood. We'll learn how to build simple statements and ask basic yes or no questions.
Lesson#2
The most important rule for a simple German statement is that the verb is always the second piece of information. The most common pattern is to start with the subject, then the verb. For example, to say 'I am here', you would say 'Ich bin hier'. 'Ich' is the first part, and the verb 'bin' is second.
