Lesson#1
When you count five or more items in Russian, or talk about quantities with words like many or how many, nouns take the Genitive plural. While numbers two, three, and four require the singular, five and above trigger a whole system of plural endings. In this deck, you will learn how to form and speak these Genitive plural endings across masculine, feminine, and neuter nouns.
Lesson#2
Masculine nouns ending in a hard consonant add the ending О В in the Genitive plural. For example, 'стол', meaning table, becomes 'столов'. After the number five, you say 'пять столов'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Russian: 'We have five tables.'

У нас пять столов

Quiz#4
Translate into Russian: 'Here are six tickets.'

Здесь шесть билетов

Lesson#5
The ending О В also applies to masculine nouns referring to people, such as 'студент' becoming 'студентов'. Quantity words like 'много', meaning many, and 'мало', meaning few, also govern this ending. For instance, 'много студентов' means many students.
Quiz#6
Translate into Russian: 'There are many students at the university.'

В университете много студентов
