Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to connect actions to their purpose in Dutch using 'om' and 'te' with an infinitive. You will also learn to express opinions about activities, talk about your plans, and use separable verbs inside these phrases.
Lesson#2
To explain why you do something, introduce your purpose with the word 'om'. Any objects or extra details go in the middle, and the word 'te' sits directly before the infinitive verb at the end of the sentence. For example, 'Wij sparen geld om een reis te maken' means 'We are saving money to make a trip'.

You can use this purpose pattern for daily errands and appointments. For example, 'Zij belt de dokter om een afspraak te maken' means 'She is calling the doctor to make an appointment'.
