En el inglés británico hablado, para hablar de posesión, relaciones familiares y características físicas, casi nunca se usa el verbo have solo. En su lugar, se utiliza la estructura have got. Esta combinación equivale al verbo tener en español y es una de las marcas más distintivas del inglés del Reino Unido.
Lesson#2
Para decir 'yo tengo', se une el pronombre I con have got, formando la contracción hablada 'I've got'. Por ejemplo, para decir que tienes un carro, dices 'I've got a car'.
