Lesson#1
In Spanish, you can describe an event by focusing on who did it, which is the active voice, or by focusing on what happened, which is the passive voice. For example, instead of 'The mechanic repairs the car', you can say 'The car is repaired'.
Lesson#2
The most straightforward way to form the passive voice in Spanish is by using the verb 'ser' followed by a past participle. For example, to say 'The door is opened', you would say 'La puerta es abierta'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Spanish: 'The food is prepared.'

La comida es preparada.

Lesson#4
A key rule for the passive voice is that the past participle must agree in gender and number with the subject. It acts just like an adjective. So, for a masculine subject like 'el libro', you use 'escrito', but for a feminine subject like 'la carta', you use 'escrita'.
Lesson#5
The same agreement rule applies for plural subjects. For 'los libros', you would say 'son escritos', and for 'las cartas', you would say 'son escritas'. Notice that 'ser' also changes to 'son' to agree with the plural subject.
Quiz#6
Translate into Spanish: 'The message is sent.'

El mensaje es enviado.
