Lesson#1
In this deck, you'll expand your ability to ask questions in spoken French. We'll go beyond simple yes or no questions to cover asking about time, place, reasons, and choices, both in the present and the past.
Lesson#2
Remember, the simplest way to ask a question in spoken French is to take a statement and say it with a rising intonation at the end.
Lesson#3
And you already know another very common way to form a question is by starting with 'Est-ce que', which literally means 'is it that'. It signals that a yes or no question is coming.
Lesson#4
To ask about the past using the passé composé, you can use the same methods. Simply apply rising intonation or add 'Est-ce que' to the beginning of the sentence. For example, 'Tu as mangé' becomes 'Tu as mangé ?' or 'Est-ce que tu as mangé ?'.
Quiz#5
Using intonation, ask 'Did you finish?' in French.

Tu as fini ?

Quiz#6
Using 'est-ce que', ask 'Did you see the film?' in French.

Est-ce que tu as vu le film ?
