Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to point to specific people and objects across different cases in Russian. You already know how to say 'this' using 'этот' in the nominative. Now you will learn how 'этот' changes after prepositions and verbs, and how to use 'тот' to mean 'that'.
Lesson#2
To point to a masculine or neuter noun in the prepositional case, use 'этом'. For example, 'в этом городе' means 'in this city', and 'об этом плане' means 'about this plan'.

For masculine and neuter nouns in the genitive case, the form is 'этого'. In speech, the letter G in this ending sounds like a V, so you pronounce it 'etovo'. You also use 'этого' when an animate masculine person is the direct object of a verb.
