Lesson#1
In German, most verbs follow a predictable pattern in the present tense. Once you learn this pattern, you can correctly form sentences with hundreds of regular verbs. We'll start with the verb 'machen', which means 'to do' or 'to make'.
Lesson#2
To say what you do, you use the pronoun 'ich'. For regular verbs, you take the main part of the verb, called the stem, and add an 'E' ending. For 'machen', the stem is 'mach'. So, 'I do' is 'Ich mache'.
Quiz#3
How do you say 'I do' in German?

Ich mache

Quiz#4
How do you say 'I live' in German?

Ich wohne

Lesson#5
The forms for 'we', 'they', and the formal 'you' are the easiest. They are usually the same as the full verb form, ending in E N. For example, 'we do' is 'wir machen', 'they do' is 'sie machen', and formally, 'you do' is 'Sie machen'.
Quiz#6
How do you say 'we do' in German?

Wir machen
