Lesson#1
In this deck, you will learn how to talk about the past in Swedish using regular verbs. In English, you often add E D to a verb, and Swedish has similar clear patterns. Best of all, Swedish past tense verbs do not change their ending for different people like I, you, or they.
Lesson#2
Group 1 is the largest verb group in Swedish. These verbs end in the letter A, and you form the past tense by adding D E to that infinitive, creating the ending A D E. For example, 'prata' becomes 'pratade'. 'Jag pratade' means 'I spoke'.
Quiz#3
How do you say 'I spoke' in Swedish?

Jag pratade

Quiz#4
Translate into Swedish: 'We talked.'

Vi pratade

Lesson#5
The ending A D E stays the same no matter who is doing the action. For 'jobba', meaning to work, the past is 'jobbade', and for 'studera', meaning to study, the past is 'studerade'. 'Han jobbade' means 'He worked'.
Quiz#6
How do you say 'He worked' in Swedish?

Han jobbade
