To talk about the past in Dutch, you will often start with the two most essential verbs, 'zijn' and 'hebben'. In this deck, you will learn their simple past forms to describe past states, locations, feelings, and needs in everyday conversation.
Lesson#2
The past form of 'zijn' for all singular subjects is 'was'. You use it with 'ik', 'jij', 'u', and 'hij', 'zij', or 'het'. For example, 'Het weer was heel mooi' means 'The weather was very nice'.
