In Swedish, you often want to link two ideas together to describe someone or something. The word 'som' works like 'who', 'which', or 'that' in English. It lets you add descriptions smoothly without having to start a new sentence.
Lesson#2
When you describe a person, 'som' acts as the subject of the descriptive clause and is followed directly by the verb. For example, 'en kompis som bor här' means 'a friend who lives here'.
