Lesson#1
In French, like in English, we often talk about possibilities using ‘if’. These are called hypotheses or conditional sentences. This deck will teach you how to form sentences for both likely situations, like ‘if it rains’, and imagined situations, like ‘if I were rich’.
Lesson#2
First, let's look at real or likely situations. To talk about a condition and its likely future consequence, use ‘si’ with the present tense, followed by the future simple tense. For example, ‘Si j'ai le temps, je t'appellerai’ means ‘If I have time, I will call you’.
Quiz#3
Translate into French: ‘If you come, I will prepare dinner.’

Si tu viens, je préparerai le dîner.

Quiz#4
Translate into French: ‘If he studies, he will pass the exam.’

S'il étudie, il réussira l'examen.

Quiz#5
Translate into French: ‘If we leave now, we will arrive on time.’

Si on part maintenant, on arrivera à l'heure.

Quiz#6
Translate into French: ‘If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home.’

S'il pleut demain, nous resterons à la maison.
