Lesson#1
When a feminine noun receives the action of a verb, such as what you read, drink, or buy, it takes the accusative case. In this deck, you will learn how feminine nouns, adjectives, and possessive words change when they are direct objects.
Lesson#2
Feminine nouns ending in the letter А change that ending to the letter У when they are direct objects. For example, 'книга' becomes 'книгу', so 'Я читаю книгу' means 'I am reading a book'. In the same way, 'вода' becomes 'воду', so 'Мы пьём воду' means 'We are drinking water'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Russian: 'I am reading a book.'

Я читаю книгу

Quiz#4
Translate into Russian: 'We are drinking water.'

Мы пьём воду

Lesson#5
This change to the letter У applies to all feminine nouns ending in the letter А. 'Машина' becomes 'машину', and 'газета' becomes 'газету'. For example, 'Антон покупает машину' means 'Anton is buying a car', and 'Я беру газету' means 'I am taking the newspaper'.
Quiz#6
Translate into Russian: 'Anton is buying a car.'

Антон покупает машину
