Lesson#1
In English, the verb 'think' does heavy lifting, from sharing a personal taste to guessing the time or stating a plan. Swedish uses three separate verbs for these jobs: 'tycker', 'tror', and 'tänker'. Learning when to use each one will instantly make your Swedish sound more precise and natural.
Lesson#2
Use 'tycker' when you express a personal opinion, taste, or emotional reaction based on your own direct experience. The frame is 'tycker att' followed by a clause. For example, 'Jag tycker att filmen är spännande' means 'I think that the film is exciting'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Swedish: 'I think that the film is exciting.'

Jag tycker att filmen är spännande

Quiz#4
Translate into Swedish: 'We think that Stockholm is a beautiful city.'

Lesson#5
To ask for someone's opinion about something they have experienced, use 'Vad tycker du om...?'. For example, 'Vad tycker du om maten?' means 'What do you think of the food?'. If you find it tasty, you can answer 'Jag tycker att den är god', meaning 'I think that it is good'.
Quiz#6
How do you say 'What do you think of the food?' in Swedish?

Vad tycker du om maten?
