Lesson#1
In French, you have two main ways to talk about the future: the 'futur proche' and the 'futur simple'. The key is knowing when to use each one. The choice depends on how certain, immediate, or formal the future event is.
Lesson#2
The 'futur proche', using 'aller' plus an infinitive, is for the near future. Use it for immediate plans, intentions, or events that are about to happen. For example, 'Je vais appeler maintenant' means 'I'm going to call now' – it's a definite, immediate action.
Quiz#3
To express an immediate intention, translate into French: 'I'm going to eat.'

Je vais manger.

Quiz#4
Translate into French: 'We are going to leave right away.'

On va partir tout de suite.

Quiz#5
To point out something that's about to happen, translate into French: 'Look, it's going to rain!'

Regarde, il va pleuvoir !

Lesson#6
The 'futur simple' is for more distant or less certain events. You use it to make predictions, like a weather forecast. For example, a prediction is 'Il fera beau demain', meaning 'The weather will be nice tomorrow'.
