Now that you can count up to one thousand, you are ready to handle much bigger figures in Dutch. In this deck, you will learn how to express thousands, millions, and billions. This will allow you to discuss house prices, flight distances, and population figures with ease.

In Dutch, one thousand is simply 'duizend'. You do not need to add 'een' in front of it. For two thousand, you attach 'twee' directly to the word to make 'tweeduizend', and three thousand is 'drieduizend'.

For tens of thousands, combine the tens word directly with 'duizend' as a single word. Ten thousand is 'tienduizend', twenty thousand is 'twintigduizend', thirty thousand is 'dertigduizend', and fifty thousand is 'vijftigduizend'.
