Lesson#1
In Swedish, declarative sentences follow a strict structural pattern where the finite verb always takes the second position. In this deck, you will learn how to build simple two-part and three-part statements with the subject first and the verb second. You will also practise the natural spoken rhythm that carries these sentences.
Lesson#2
The simplest Swedish sentence has just two parts: a subject pronoun followed directly by a finite verb. Because the verb must sit in position two, this rule is known as the verb-second rule. For example, 'hon studerar' means 'she studies'. In the same way, 'jag talar' means 'I speak', and 'de arbetar' means 'they work'.
