Lesson#1
Now that you can form sentences, let's connect your ideas. This will make your French sound more natural and fluent. We'll start with simple words that link cause, consequence, and contrast.
Lesson#2
To show a logical consequence, you can use 'donc', which means 'so' or 'therefore'. For example, 'Il pleut, donc je prends mon parapluie' means 'It's raining, so I'm taking my umbrella'.
Quiz#3
Translate into French: 'I am tired, so I am going to bed.'

Je suis fatigué, donc je vais au lit.

Quiz#4
Translate into French: 'He studies a lot, so he will pass his exam.'

Il étudie beaucoup, donc il va réussir son examen.

Lesson#5
'Alors' is another way to say 'so' or 'then', but it's more common in conversation. It can show a consequence, or simply move the conversation along. For instance, 'J'ai fini mon travail, alors on peut sortir' means 'I've finished my work, so we can go out'.
Quiz#6
Translate into French: 'He didn't answer, so I left a message.'

Il n'a pas répondu, alors j'ai laissé un message.
