Lesson#1
Welcome to A1 German Part 5. In this part, you’ll learn how to connect your ideas, make social plans, handle everyday practical situations, and speak more naturally in simple German conversations. By the end, you’ll be able to invite people, arrange meetings, talk about celebrations, describe problems at home or in public, understand basic rules and instructions, and give short spoken reports about past events.
Lesson#2
In this deck, you'll learn how to connect your ideas in German. We'll cover simple but essential words called connectors. These help you link sentences together to sound more natural when you speak.
Lesson#3
The simplest way to add one idea to another is with 'und', which means 'and'. It joins two complete sentences without changing the word order. For example, 'Ich trinke Kaffee und ich esse einen Kuchen' means 'I drink coffee and I eat a cake'.
Quiz#4
Translate into German: 'I am learning German and I live in Berlin.'

Ich lerne Deutsch und ich wohne in Berlin.

Quiz#5
Translate into German: 'He is tired and he is going to bed.'

Er ist müde und er geht ins Bett.

Lesson#6
To offer a choice or an alternative, use 'oder', which means 'or'. Just like 'und', it connects two ideas without changing the word order. For instance, 'Gehen wir ins Kino oder bleiben wir zu Hause?' means 'Are we going to the cinema or are we staying at home?'
