Lesson#1
In this deck, you'll learn to talk about completed past actions in Dutch using the present perfect tense. You form this tense by combining a present-tense form of 'hebben' with a past participle. You will also learn how to build regular past participles and place them naturally at the end of your sentence.
Lesson#2
To make a regular past participle in Dutch, you usually add the prefix G E to the verb stem, followed by an ending. For the verb 'werken', to work, the stem is 'werk'. Add G E at the front and T at the end to make 'gewerkt'. In a sentence, 'Ik heb vandaag gewerkt' means 'I worked today'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Dutch: 'I worked today.'

Ik heb vandaag gewerkt

Quiz#4
Translate into Dutch: 'We worked today.'

Wij hebben vandaag gewerkt

Lesson#5
The verb 'maken' means to make. Its stem is 'maak', ending in the letter K, so its participle also takes the ending T to become 'gemaakt'. For example, 'Wat heb je gemaakt?' means 'What did you make?'.
Quiz#6
Speaking to a friend, how do you say 'What did you make?' in Dutch?

Wat heb je gemaakt?
