A stunning photograph of an Italian street scene where a young person stands at a corner, looking down two diverging paths. One path leads into a bustling, sun-drenched historic piazza with cafes and lively activity, while the other leads into a quieter, charming residential street lined with classic Italian apartment buildings and potted plants. The image vividly captures the contrast between two types of neighbourhoods, implying a choice, in a 3:2 landscape frame.

Lesson#1
In Italian, when you express an opinion or a hope, the grammar changes depending on who you're talking about. If you're expressing a hope about yourself, you use one structure. If you're expressing a hope about someone else, you use a different one. Let's learn how to choose the right one.
Lesson#2
When the person expressing the hope or opinion is the same person doing the action, you use 'di' followed by the infinitive form of the verb. For example, to say 'I hope to pass the exam', where 'I' am both hoping and passing, you say 'Spero di passare l'esame'.
