In this deck, you will learn to describe physical symptoms, express where you feel pain, and schedule an appointment at the GP surgery in Dutch.
Lesson#2
In Dutch, many common aches and pains are compound nouns ending in 'pijn', combined with the verb 'hebben'. For headache, Dutch uses 'hoofdpijn'. To say 'I have a headache', say 'Ik heb hoofdpijn'.

A sore throat is called 'keelpijn'. Just like with headache, use the verb 'hebben': 'Ik heb keelpijn' means 'I have a sore throat'.
