In this deck, we'll cover sexual reproduction in humans. We'll start by looking at the male and female reproductive systems, following the journey of the sex cells, or gametes, from their production to the point of fertilisation.
Lesson#2
Let's trace the path of sperm. Sperm are produced in the testes. The testes are held outside the body in a bag called the scrotum, which keeps them at a slightly lower temperature, ideal for sperm production. From a testis, sperm travel through a sperm duct, mix with fluids from the prostate gland to form semen, and then exit the body through the urethra in the penis.
