In a standard Swedish sentence where the subject comes first, sentence adverbials sit immediately after the finite verb. The word for often is ofta. For example, Hon dricker ofta te means She often drinks tea.

The Swedish word for always is alltid. In a straight sentence, place it right after the verb. The phrase kommer i tid means comes on time. For example, Hon kommer alltid i tid means She always comes on time.

The word for rarely or seldom is sällan. Following the same rule, it goes straight after the verb. For example, De äter sällan fisk means They rarely eat fish.
