In Brazilian Portuguese, you use the verb 'ser' with character adjectives to describe what someone is like as a person. In this deck, you will learn the most common adjectives and question patterns for personal traits and temperament.

To ask what someone is like as a person, use the question word 'como', meaning 'how', followed by the verb 'ser'. For example, to ask what a man is like, say 'Como ele é?'. To ask what a woman is like, say 'Como ela é?'.
