Sometimes we want to talk about rules, opinions, or things people do in general, without naming a specific person. In this deck, you'll learn several ways to do this in Spanish, which is very useful for discussing social expectations and general truths.

One of the most common ways to make a general statement is with the impersonal 'se'. You add 'se' before a verb in the third-person singular. For example, 'Aquí se vive bien' doesn't mean 'he' or 'she' lives well, but that 'one lives well here' or 'people live well here'.
