Lesson#1
In Swedish, verbs do not change their form for different people. Whether you say I, you, or they, the verb stays exactly the same. In this deck, you will learn the present-tense forms of two foundational verbs: 'vara', meaning to be, and 'ha', meaning to have.
Lesson#2
The verb 'vara' means 'to be'. Its present-tense form is 'är'. Because Swedish verbs do not conjugate for person, 'är' is used for everyone: 'jag är', 'du är', 'vi är', and so on. The word for 'here' is 'här', and 'there' is 'där'. For example, 'Jag är här' means 'I am here'.
