At the post office, called 'почта', you often need basic stationery for sending mail. An envelope is 'конверт', a postage stamp is 'марка', and a postcard is 'открытка'. To ask for these politely, say 'Дайте, пожалуйста'. For example, 'Дайте, пожалуйста, две марки и конверт' means 'Please give me two stamps and an envelope'.
