Lesson#1
You already know how to talk about your possessions in Swedish using words like 'min' and 'vår', and how to describe things using definite adjectives like 'den nya bilen'. In this deck, you'll learn how to combine possessives with adjectives. Swedish does this with a unique structure that sounds clean and natural once you get the hang of it.
Lesson#2
When an adjective follows a possessive word like 'min' or 'din', the adjective always takes the weak definite ending A. However, unlike double definiteness phrases, the noun must stay in its indefinite form. For example, 'my new car' is 'min nya bil', never 'min nya bilen'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Swedish: 'My new car is red.'

Min nya bil är röd

Quiz#4
Translate into Swedish: 'Where is my new bicycle?'

Var är min nya cykel?

Quiz#5
Translate into Swedish: 'My red jumper is nice.'

Min röda tröja är fin

Lesson#6
The exact same pattern applies to neuter nouns. The possessive pronoun changes to 'mitt' or 'ditt', but the adjective still takes the ending A, and the noun remains indefinite. For example, 'my big house' is 'mitt stora hus'.
