Pointing to This, That, and That Over There in Spanish

Learn the Spanish demonstratives 'este', 'ese', and 'aquel' to point out objects at different distances, and use 'esto', 'eso', and 'aquello' to refer to ideas.
A wide-angle, vivid photograph capturing two people on a charming cobblestone street in a historic Spanish town. One person gestures towards a beautifully adorned house right next to them, while the other points to a distinct, colorful house further down the street, and both gaze at a historic church tower visible far in the distance against a clear blue sky, illustrating varying distances. The scene is bathed in warm, natural light.

Lesson#1
In Spanish, pointing things out is more specific than in English. There are three sets of words to say 'this', 'that', 'these', and 'those', depending on whether something is close to you, close to the person you're talking to, or far away from both of you.
Lesson#2
You already know este, esta, estos, and estas for things close to you. The A2 focus is choosing naturally between este, ese, and aquel, and using neuter forms like esto, eso, and aquello.
