Lesson#1
In this deck, you'll learn how to talk about everyday actions in Brazilian Portuguese using regular verbs that end in A R. By changing the verb ending, you can easily say what you do, what other people do, and ask simple questions.
Lesson#2
To conjugate regular verbs ending in A R in the present tense, start by removing the ending A R to find the stem. For 'eu', meaning 'I', add the letter O to that stem. For example, 'falar' means 'to speak', so 'eu falo português' means 'I speak Portuguese'.
Quiz#3
Translate into Portuguese: 'I speak Portuguese.'

Eu falo português

Quiz#4
Translate into Portuguese: 'I speak English.'

Eu falo inglês

Lesson#5
This same pattern applies to other daily verbs. With 'morar', meaning 'to live', 'eu moro aqui' means 'I live here'. With 'usar', meaning 'to use', 'eu uso' means 'I use'. To make any sentence negative, place 'não' directly before the conjugated verb, as in 'eu não uso carro', which means 'I don't use a car'.
Quiz#6
Translate into Portuguese: 'I live here.'

Eu moro aqui
